France Football (via GFFN) report that Arsenal club legends are pushing the club to go after Said Benrahma. These former players spoke with the board about the 24-year-old to encourage them to make a move.

Previous reports suggest the Arsenal hierarchy are unlikely to put up much opposition. The Telegraph recently claimed Benrahma is already on the club’s ‘wanted list’. They wrote that Arsenal are admirers of the Championship winger already.

Benrahma has 10 goals and six assists in 30 appearances this season. All of those goal contributions came from the left-wing, though he’s also up to five appearances on the right.

The Algerian international previously played with Nice and Angers in Ligue 1, as well as a few clubs further down in the French football pyramid.

Arsenal do need a left-winger this summer, as long as they can afford one.

Right now, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is occupying the spot to good effect. However, it seems likely either he or Alexandre Lacazette will leave in the summer. Either way, that’ll probably leave the left open for a new signing.
