“We lack confidence and we need the international break,” Lacazette said in English media. “I hope we return well. We have to work more that we do now to find trust.

“We are very disappointed, we had chances in the first half against Leicester. We couldn’t score and you have to take your chances in this type of match.

“We have to get back to work and keep working every day. But I think we didn’t play so badly, we just missed our chances in the first half.

“Of course we want to be in the top four. We are now nine points behind Chelsea and Leicester and it will be difficult, but anything is possible in football.

“We have until the end of the season. We are going to work to come back.”

Since returning from his ankle injury, Lacazette has scored one goal in four games/261 minutes, as Arsenal lost two of those games and drew the other two with a goal difference of minus three. They were games against Sheffield United, Crystal Palace, Wolves, and Leicester.
