Sky Sports have whipped Arsenal fans into a further frenzy on deadline day by claiming that Shkodran Mustafi could leave the club on loan today with a Ligue 1 side a possible destination.

Of course, the window in France doesn’t close until 2 September so there’s no need for the club to panic about shifting him out today but there has been so little talk of him leaving this summer I’m basking in this ray of light.

With Arsenal looking like they will sign Kieran Tierney and David Luiz to add to William Saliba, Dani Ceballos, Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe it’s certainly been a transfer window to remember for fans.

What would it then become if we managed to shift Shkodran Mustafi in addition to the other players, like David Ospina, Takuma Asano et al, that we’ve already got rid of?

With Mohamed Elneny also looking like he could be away on loan too, might we finally be witnessing the end of Mediocrity FC?
