Bristol City are reportedly growing ever-more confident of landing Eddie Nketiah on loan before the transfer window closes on Thursday.

Just a few hours after me writing that it looked like Eddie Nketiah was set to stay with Arsenal and get a proper first-team chance, it was being reported that Bristol City are confident they can get him on loan for the season.

Speaking to the Telegraph, Nketiah admitted his ‘end goal’ was to become a first team regular and enjoy his career at Arsenal but it looks like he might have to wait a bit longer to crack the senior team.

Unai Emery had previously spoken of his desire to keep the hotshot at the club this season but with the arrival of Gabriel Martinelli and Nicolas Pepe it looks like he could we be farmed out to Bristol who had great success with Chelsea’s Tammy Abraham.

Talks are said to be ongoing.

Swansea City are also said to be interested.
