In the early hours of Thursday morning Arsenal beat Bayern Munich 2-1 thanks to a late Eddie Nketiah goal and a ten minute man-of-the-match performance.

Speaking before the game Emery gave an update on Arsenal’s transfer plans when he said, “The goal is to sign three or four that will improve the team. We have very good players and young players who are very good also that can progress and star in great performances. The others will come to help us.”

It’s not clear if these ‘three or four’ will be in addition to Gabriel Martinelli who is currently the only senior arrival at the club and we’re not even sure if he’s that. That being said, we didn’t think Matteo Guendouzi would be in the first team when he first arrived, so it’s likely we will Martinelli more than we expect.

Arsenal are believed to be trying to sign a winger, full-back, central defender and midfielder.

They are reportedly very close to bringing in Dani Ceballos from Real Madrid on a season long loan, William Saliba is also on the line while the club will make a third bid for Kieran Tierney.

Saliba, of course, will stay on loan so won’t come into the side until the 2020/21 season if Arsenal are able to make the deal happen.
