On Saturday, we covered reports that four Premier League clubs are interested in signing the Arsenal striker on a free transfer in the coming months. Newcastle United, Everton, Wolves and West Ham United are all reportedly keen on adding the forward to their front line.

The S*n claim the 28-year-old might try to go abroad instead, as it’s believed a total break from the Premier League might help his international chances. According to the report, Lazio are looking to add the former Manchester United man to their squad.

Welbeck has scored five goals and assisted one in 14 appearances this season, a goal contribution every 100 minutes on average. He may yet still have one fairytale moment left with Arsenal, as he’s joined the travelling squad in Baku and is set to make the bench for the Europa League final.

After that, the club have made it clear that they’re letting the striker go, with Raul Sanllehi explaining their reasoning recently. The only question remaining is over where he’ll end up.
