Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne, Vlad Chiriches and Amadou Diawara have all suffered injury blows ahead of the international break, but some are likely to return in time to face Arsenal.

The Napoli website announced on Friday that three players had suffered some kind of injury during their victory over RB Salzburg on Thursday. Lorenzo Insigne and Vlad Chiriches both have thigh injuries, whilst Amadou Diawara has a problem with his right foot.

Insigne and Chiriches are both set to miss three weeks of football, whilst Diawara will be assessed again in three weeks time. That could potentially mean all three are fit to play against Arsenal, considering the first leg of the Europa League clash is in just under four weeks’ time. However, Il Mattino believes that Diawarra is now ruled out.

Losing Insigne would be the biggest blow to Napoli, as the forward has 13 goals and seven assists this season. That includes the winner in a 1-0 against Liverpool back in the Champions League group stages, before the Serie A side dropped down to the Europa League. He is hoping to be back for the game against Arsenal after picking up his injury in the warm-up of that game.

Raul Albiol, their Spanish defender, is expected back by mid-April after surgery on his left knee back in February.
