Arsenal are reportedly interested in messing up Spurs move for Malcom, a player they were heavily linked with before he moved to Barcelona.

Over the past week or so, Tottenham have been the lead name in the Malcom rumours however Chinese side Guangzhou have also been involved.

Now, Arsenal are reportedly back in the mix.

One major issue, however, is that Mundo Deportivo are reporting that Barcelona only want to sell Malcom during this window, not send him on loan, and that all but rules Arsenal out of the running.

“Malcom would only be sold” Mundo Deportivo, 19 January 2019.

The article reads, “Has played only 10 times in the club but Malcom has proposals of good teams to go out in the winter. MD informed of the interest of Guangzhou and Tottenham. It has most of the Premier lLague (Arsenal) and one of the ‘calcium’. The idea is to listen to proposals but only if you talk about transfer. Barca does not arise to let him go out on loan.”

As we know, Arsenal have no money until the summer so anything that requires a fee of substance will have to be placed to the side until things improve.
