Manchester City’s Leory Sane has named Mesut Ozil as the best he’s ever played with demonstrating yet again that most pundits in the game haven’t got a clue what they are talking about.

Despite creating more assists than any other player in the Premier league since he arrived at the club in 2013, Mesut Ozil has never been able to shake the relentless criticism that follows him around the game.

Arsenal fans have never really bought into the excessive panning that comes his way on a regular basis – at least not the sensible ones – but that hasn’t made it any easier to deal with.

So, when a player like Leroy Sane, who has played with some of the most talented footballers on the planet, names Ozil as the best he’s ever played with (along with David Silva), there is surely more merit to that than anything the likes of Adrian Durham or the Daily Mail put in print.
