Arsenal and the rest of football now enter yet another pointless international break just when things were getting really interesting on the pitch, so when are Arsenal back and what can we watch in the meantime to get our fix?

Arsenal sealed their ninth win in a row against Fulham on Sunday but we will have to wait a couple of weeks to see if they can make it to double figures as half the squad jets around the world to play in games that mean little to anyone.

Arsenal’s next competitive match is on Monday 22 October when Leicester arrive at the Emirates for an evening kick-off meaning fans of both sides will have to wait longer than any other club for proper football to return.

Following the Premier League match against the Foxes, who are currently in 10th place some six points behind Unai Emery’s men, Arsenal travel to Portugal for a game against Sporting three days later in yet another scheduling balls-up.

That’s followed by another away trip – across London again – to face Crystal Palace in a 1.30pm Sunday kick-off.

Blackpool then arrive at the Emirates for our Carabao Cup game before a whopping match against Liverpool on 3 November at the Emirates that will give us a true indication of the work undertaken so far this season and how far we’ve progressed.

If you can’t wait until 22 October to watch the Arsenal, luckily, you don’t have to. The Women play Chelsea this weekend in what is certain to be a cracking match.

Joe Montemurro’s side are on fire this season, topping the table with a 100% record and a gap between them and their fellow title-challengers already established.

The game will kick off at 2pm on Sunday 14 October at Kingsmeadow and will be shown live on BTSport.

10 Arsenal players have been called up for their countries for the upcoming international break so let’s take a look at who they are and when they’ll play their matches.

Let’s get straight to the point. First, here’s a list of all the players called up by their country. After that, we’ll give you the full schedule of matches Arsenal players could be involved in.

Players called up

Stephan Lichtsteiner hasn’t been called up for Switzerland, after agreeing with his country and Arsenal to take the break off. Henrikh Mkhitaryan probably will be called up for Armenia, but they haven’t confirmed their squad yet.
