Arsenal recently fell into the hands of a sole owner, Stan Kroenke, but how does the American billionaire stack up against the other richest owners in the Premier League?

Kroenke is far from the only billionaire owner of an English club. In fact, only six of the 20 teams in the country’s top division are owned by someone worth less than that billion pound mark.

Here is the full list of all 20, courtesy of BristolLive:

    1. Chelsea: Roman Abramovich – £8,597,120,000
    2. Arsenal: Stan Kroenke – £6,754,880,000
    3. Fulham: Shahid Khan – £5,833,760,000

    20. Burnley: Mike Garlick/John Banaszkiewicz – £60,868,000

It just goes to show the insane amount of money involved in football nowadays. Arsenal have one of the richest owners in the league, which should mean they don’t have to worry about financial restrictions so much.

However, the reality is that owners can only invest so much nowadays. Clubs have to make their own money under the Financial Fair Play guidelines. The only advantage of a rich owner is they might not take so much out.

Let’s hope that’s the case with Kroenke now that he’s the sole owner.
