Juventus will offer Aaron Ramsey a big money pre-contract in January, according to reports.

The Daily Mail write that Juventus have ‘entered the chase’ for the Arsenal midfielder. The Italian champions are hoping to take advantage of the pre-contract opportunity afforded to them as a non-Premier League club, to make an offer directly to the Welshman in January.

Since they wouldn’t have to pay a transfer fee, they could invest more money in their wage offer, which would help considering Ramsey held out for a big payday for so long at Arsenal.

It really wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Italian champions making a move for a player on a free transfer. It’s something they do regularly, with the likes of Emre Can, Sami Khedira and Dani Alves joining in recent seasons.

This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Juventus’ interest either. CalcioMercato recently reported that the club was in the running for Ramsey, and the Evening Standard named the Italian giants as one of the clubs looking to rival the English sides for the midfielder’s signature.

They’ll face a lot of competition from those English clubs though. The Daily Mail name Liverpool and Chelsea as serious suitors, and we’ve previously heard Manchester United’s name thrown into the mix. Tottenham were also linked in one particularly hilarious report, but that’s clearly ridiculous.

Wales face Spain at 19:45 on Thursday night, so Ramsey should be pretty preoccupied for the moment anyway.
