Lacazette: Goals, assists & skills 18/19

Alexandre Lacazette seems to be Unai Emery’s main man when it comes to Arsenal strikers, so let’s have a look at how the Frenchman’s second season at the club is going.

Although there was a lot of talk over the summer that the club could look to shift him on after only one season, those reports were quickly rubbished by the club and player.

If there was any doubt about his role under Emery, then it should be put away now.

Three goals and two assists in eight games this season is not a remarkable return from the forward, but it has been his impressive team-work that has kept him in the side. He is the best performing Arsenal player overall of those who have been playing regularly this season.

Surprisingly, although Emery seems to like to substitute Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, the Gabon striker has actually played just over 100 minutes more than the Frenchman. He has four goals this season as the pair establish a deadly partnership.

Since arriving at Arsenal last summer, Lacazette has scored 20 goals and created seven assists in 47 games. On average, he scores or assists every 119 minutes.

You can watch the highlights of his season so far in the video above.
