Alex Iwobi has admitted he celebrated his first ever Arsenal goal by going to eat at Nando’s with his family, but nowadays he has to go undercover.

The Daily Star covered quotes from the Arsenal man on Tuesday, admitting his post-match celebration habits.

“Scoring that first goal made me realise how much I wanted to establish myself here,” he began. “I celebrated by going to Nando’s with my family. I love a Nando’s, sometimes I go there incognito.”

Clearly, he doesn’t hide well enough, because Twitter user ‘JessOzil’ called him out on it. Iwobi responded in a recent Arsenal media video:

“How does this person know that I did that?” he asked. “I don’t know if I put that on Snap(chat). How does she know? Does she stalk me down at Nando’s? I even went incognito, I was wearing a hat!”

Iwobi has had lots of chances to go to Nando’s recently, as Unai Emery’s side are on a seven-game win streak. The 22-year-old is in great form personally and was heavily involved in four of Arsenal’s last five goals.

He won the corner for Welbeck’s first goal against Brentford, played Monreal in behind to set up the second, forced an own goal with his cross against Watford, and linked up nicely with Lacazette before the Frenchman played in Özil in the same game. Add to that his goal and two assists so far, and he’s having a good start to the season.

Hopefully, that will continue in the next few weeks and he can have a few more meals out with his family.
