Arsenal’s u18s made it six league wins in seven games, and three in a row, by beating West Ham 2-1 on Saturday.

Despite the u18s impressive league form, the u18s were actually coming off the back of a draw before this London derby. West Brom held them to a 0-0 in the Premier League u18 Cup last week.

It was up to the young Gunners to get back to winning ways in the league. Folarin Balogun put them on the right track in the first half, scoring his fifth goal in six u18 matches this season.

Add in Balogun’s assist against Aston Villa and you can see the striker is in top form right now. He was set up by Trae Coyle on this occasion.

West Ham equalised not long after the break, courtesy of West Ham centre-back Ajibola Alese. Fortunately, Arsenal managed to take the lead back with seven minutes to go, as Stanley Flaherty scored after coming off the bench.

Arsenal u18s are currently second in the u18 Premier League South, just one point off top spot. Next up, they face Reading u18s at London Colney on October 20th.
