Arriving in the summer after an impressive World Cup, Lucas Torreira has yet to start a Premier League game for Arsenal.

Given that the season is only four games old and he didn’t arrive until late because of his involvement in Russia, that hasn’t stopped a load of people crying about getting to see him start in the side.

It’s not hard to understand why.

In his appearances so far this season he has more than impressed despite only getting 118 of them.

Speaking during the international break, Torreira revealed that, despite the common media narrative that he would make up his mind about an Arsenal move after the World Cup, he actually had it all sorted before the tournament started:
