The Daily Star on Sunday are today reporting that Jose Mourinho has had enough of Alexis Sanchez after less than a year and is ready to sell the Chilean as soon as they can find a buyer.

Good luck with that.

I doubt this is actually true despite the Daily Star claiming it as an exclusive.

Although the Chilean was dropped on Saturday for the game against West Ham, it’s hard to see them being able to shift a player earning £500kpw who still has three-and-a-half years left on his deal.

After all, who in their right mind is going to pay that sort of money for a player who has three goals in 23 appearances since his move?

You also have to think that if the Daily Star were confident in their exclusive it would occupy more space than just a third of a column on page 44.

For anyone wondering why I’m still talking about this despite thinking it’s nonsense, it’s called ‘schadenfreude’.
