Eddie Nketiah scored yet another goal at youth level on Monday, and he wasn’t the only Arsenal youngster to impress for his country over the international break.

Let’s have a look at how Arsenal players did at each youth level in the last week:

  • England 2-0 Switzerland

Reiss Nelson played 70 minutes and Joe Willock played the full 90 as England’s u20s defeated Switzerland. Eddie Nketiah was unavailable for that game after spending the day training with the England first-team.

  • Netherlands 3-1 England

Nketiah got a start in the second game against the Netherlands, and scored just seven minutes into the match. Unfortunately the hosts turned the game around to win 3-1, and Joe Willock coming on for the final 21 minutes couldn’t save the game.

  • Netherlands 0-3 England

Bukayo Saka and Tyreece John-Jules played the full 90 minutes of the England u18s’ first victory, with John-Jules getting an assist for one of the goals. Folarin Balogun also came on for the final 26 minutes.

  • Russia 0-3 England

Arthur Okonkwo got a chance in goal against Russia, and kept a clean sheet. John-Jules played 73 minutes and scored once, with Saka coming on for the final 17 minutes. Balogun also played the full 90 minutes.

  • France 1-2 England

Saka and Balogun started the match, with Balogun substituted after 79 minutes. Saka played the full match, and scored England’s winner from the penalty spot.

  • England 6-0 Norway

Academy summer signing Sam Greenwood scored in England’s 6-0 win over Norway, with Yunus Musah captaining the side and Miguel Azeez making a substitute appearance.

  • England 2-1 Portugal

Greenwood was involved in the goals again, getting an assist this time, whilst Musah scored for the young side.

Musah’s contributions to the England u17s and the Arsenal u18s (he has a goal and an assist in four appearances this season) are made all the more impressive by the fact he’s still just 15 years old.

  • Spain 1-2 Northern Ireland

In one of the biggest shock results of the break, Ballard and the Northern Ireland u21s pulled off a win in a Euro u21 qualifying match against Spain. The defender played 90 minutes and impressed, which he’d certainly have to do to keep the Spaniards to just one late goal.

You can see what the win meant to them from the video on their Twitter page afterwards:
