Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang left the Gabon camp early to return to Arsenal prompting concerns he had been injured, but fear not, he was simply released to return to the club.

Aubameyang was one of three players Gabon allowed to leave ahead of their final friendly of this international break. Southampton’s Mario Lemina also left the camp as did Serge Martinsson Ngouali who was carrying an injury.

“Gabon coach Antonio Camacho will also have to work without some key players including Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and Mario Lemina. They have been made available to their respective clubs, and Serge Martinsson Ngouali was injured in the knee at training,” Fegafoot, the Gabonese Football Federation, said in a statement.

In other injury news, Lucas Torreira was spotted in training with the Arsenal first team after his scare. The midfielder was substituted at halftime as a precaution in Uruguay’s match against Mexico.

Laurent Koscielny is back working with the ball as he continues his lengthy return.
