Contrary to how many people connected to the German national team have reacted to Mesut Ozil’s claims of institutional racism, players from the Turkish club Malatyaspor wore tshirts to show their support for the Arsenal man.

Malatyaspor were getting ready for a pre-seaosn friendly against Gazisehir Gaziantep.

The message on the tshirts read “We are all with you, say no to racism.”

Contrast this with the likes of Bayern Munich’s CEO, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

“He was not criticised because he has Turkish heritage,” Rummenigge laughably told Sport Bild. “That is a tale that his agents tell us.

“And that is something that annoys me more and more recently. Nowadays agents do many interviews and statements. Sometimes it is like a fairy tale audition.”

People connected with Bayern Munich have been especially vocal about Ozil and quick to dismiss his claims, almost as if they are trying to distract from the fact their players were the major reason Germany flopped at the World Cup as they represented the majority of them.

Malatyaspor won their friendly 2-1.
