David Ospina has arrived in Italy to complete his move to Napoli.

He was filmed arriving before he headed for his medical this morning and some supporters asked him to hold up a Napoli scarf.

In his defence, it was presented to him upside down so we won’t blame him on that. But how long did it take him to make his first fumble in Italy?

Not that long at all…

Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli earlier this week, Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis explained that there were four goalkeepers in with a chance of moving to the Serie A club.

“There are four in contention: Ochoa, Mignolet, Ospina and Tatarusanu,” he said. “It is true that Ospina could arrive, we are negotiating, there are still some differences on the requests.”

They have settled for the Arsenal man (thank you!), and reports claim the initial agreement is for a season-long loan.

There is an option-to-buy for a fee of around €8m, but no obligation if Napoli decide they don’t want to next summer.
