Besiktas president Fikret Orman is currently in London with a number of fellow club officials, as speculation grows of a £15m transfer for Domagoj Vida to Arsenal.

Turkish Football report that the Besiktas president and officials are in central London, seemingly over the potential Vida transfer. According to their information, £14-15m could be enough to complete a deal.

Of course, there are other reasons for Besiktas officials to be in London, including their own attempts to bring someone in. The likes of David Ospina, Danny Welbeck and Lucas Perez have all been linked with a move to Turkey in the past, and that’s just the Arsenal players.

However, it is starting to look more likely that Vida is a real possibility as a deadline day incoming. His agent, Ugur Avadan, says that “if an offer in the region of €20m arrives, it will be difficult for Vida and Besiktas to say no”.

According to further reports in Turkey, Besiktas could consider including David Ospina as a makeweight in a deal, which would certainly help Arsenal in the task of offloading the goalkeeper. Ospina seems very much surplus to requirements at the moment, but hasn’t managed to secure a move away just yet. We’ll have to see what deadline day brings.
