Arsenal players’ FIFA 19 ratings have seemingly been revealed through a demonstration at Gamescom, and they don’t make for particularly good reading.

Perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising to see Arsenal squad members from last season getting a bit of a downgrade, considering the team finished sixth in the table. Nonetheless, fans of the Gunners are unlikely to be happy with how the ratings are looking at the moment, as revealed by a fan on Twitter.

Let’s have a look at the top 10 stars of the team this year, and how their ratings compare to their base FIFA 18 ratings (from Futhead):

  • Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 87 (down from 88)
  • Mesut Özil 86 (down from 88)
  • Alexandre Lacazette 84 (down from 85)
  • Henrikh Mkhitaryan 84 (down from 85)
  • Bernd Leno 84 (down from 85)
  • Sokratis Papastathopoulos 84 (down from 86)
  • Aaron Ramsey 82 (no change)
  • Shkodran Mustafi 82 (down from 84)
  • Laurent Koscielny 82 (down from 84)
  • Petr Cech 82 (down from 86)

Perhaps the most surprising rating is Ramsey’s, despite the fact it hasn’t actually changed. After a very good season for Arsenal in 2017/18, where he won the club’s fan award for Player of the Season, you would’ve expected a boost.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang dropping a rating is also a bit of a shock, given he scored 31 goals last season, and did just as well for Arsenal as he’d been doing for Dortmund. Clearly EA are reading a lot into his first few games of the new campaign.

Cech got the biggest downgrade, which is perhaps a bit harsh given he’s started the season pretty well in shot-stopping terms. At the same time he did make a huge number of mistakes leading to goals last season, so you can understand why it’s happened.

Hopefully Arsenal will have a great season moving forward and boost those ratings back up again.
