Arsenal joined Borussia Dortmund, AS Monaco and Paris Saint-Germain in scouting Wesley Moraes for Club Brugge in their 1-0 weekend win over Royal Excel Mouscron, according to reports.

Het Laatste Nieuws report that the four clubs were in attendance for Brugge’s victory, and Wesley was reportedly the main point of attraction. Unfortunately, the Brazilian only spent 11 minutes on the pitch before receiving a red card, so if that’s the case, the scouts would’ve been left disappointed.

The striker was sent off thanks to a VAR review, showing he’d thrown his arm into the face of a defender. Nonetheless, scouts are likely to return to watch Wesley again at some point, if he keeps performing in the way he started the season.

The young striker scored three goals in his first two games of 2018/19, helping his team to win the Belgian Supercup and their league opener.

Last season, the forward managed 13 goals and two assists in 44 appearances. He seemed to be getting going towards the end of the campaign, as four of those goals came in the last seven games.

Now he just needs to make sure he keeps that up on his return, and avoids further disciplinary issues.
