David Ospina’s agent has given the clearest sign yet that his client will be leaving Arsenal this summer.

Since arriving at Arsenal after the 2014 World Cup for £3.6m, Ospina has flattered to deceive.

Although he often excels with his national team, when the 29-year-old pulls on that Arsenal shirt, he turns into the bastard child of Manuel Almunia and Mr Blobby.

Speaking to the press, a representative from the agency, Alinea, said,

“David has a contract for two more years with Arsenal but there is an archer, so it can be a complete cycle and if there are no options in Europe, Boca is a great option because it is within the 10 largest teams of the world”.

The arrival of Bernd Leno was always going to mean one of the keepers at the club would have to leave. With Petr Cech saying his future lies with Arsenal, and the club giving him the number one shirt for the new season, Ospina didn’t seem to stand much of a chance of remaining

The move will suit everybody.

Ospina has been threatening to leave for a couple of seasons.

Maybe this year is the one he finally follows through.
