Unai Emery has been ‘seduced’ by the quality of Bayern Munich winger Kingsley Coman, and is preparing to make an offer for the 22-year-old, according to reports in France.

BeIN SPORTS write that after lifting the league trophies in France, Italy and Germany, Coman’s next destination might be the Premier League. Emery is reportedly interested in signing the French international, and Arsenal would be willing to offer €50m (£44.3m) for his signature.

That would represent a profit for the German side, since they signed Coman for just €28m (£24.8m) from Juventus. The first €7m was a loan fee, and the remaining €21m was their option-to-buy, which they took up last summer.

Coman had a good season in Germany, scoring seven goals and assisting eight in 33 appearances. Unfortunately, he picked up an injury which kept him on the sidelines from March until May, only returning for 20 minutes in the German cup final.

That absence ultimately decided his fate with France, when he was left out of the World Cup squad. Missing out on adding the trophy to his already huge cabinet must be disappointing for him.

Arsenal need a winger, so if they’re going to spend big on someone before the end of the window it would make sense if it’s a player like Coman. We’ll have to wait for further reports on the rumour though.
