Joshua Dasilva and Tobi Omole appear to have agreed new deals with Arsenal, as they were both spotted in pre-season training on Tuesday.

Initially there was some confusion about the pair, when Arsenal posted their article on players being released and those signing new deals. Omole and Dasilva were on neither list, despite their contracts expiring this summer, implying they were still in negotiations over whether to stay at the club.

Since then, Arsenal posted a picture of the entire academy with Omole in it (but not Dasilva). Youth expert Jeorge Bird then tweeted that Omole is due to stay at the club, despite the lack of official announcement at this stage.

As mentioned, Dasilva wasn’t in the academy photo, and based on his Twitter he was training individually, away from the club. Fortunately, he then posted an update on Tuesday showing he’s back in training, with a photo alongside Stephy Mavididi.

Although both players’ futures are still unconfirmed, it certainly seems as if they’ve agreed to stay at the club. That’s good news, particularly as Dasilva captained the u23s to the Premier League 2 title at the end of last season. He even played three matches at senior level in 2017/18.

Hopefully they do both stay and get further opportunities in the coming campaign.
