Jack Wilshere was pictured in Istanbul on Wednesday, adding to speculation that he might be considering a move to Turkey this summer.

Wilshere is still an Arsenal player until the end of this week. After that, he’ll leave on a free transfer. The 26-year-old is out of contract and confirmed on Instagram that he won’t renew at the end of it.

Clearly he’s getting to work on finding a new club, and Turkish outlet Milliyet picture him on his latest trip to Istanbul.

According to their report, Wilshere came to visit Fenerbahce’s facilities. They write that club president Ali Koc, sporting director Damien Comolli and new head coach Phillip Cocu have come together with an attractive offer for the England international. It’s now just a matter of getting the player’s agreement.

There are plenty of other clubs apparently interested in signing the departing Arsenal man.

The media have linked him to English clubs, like Crystal Palace, West Ham, Everton and Wolves. Also to Italian clubs, like Juventus, AC Milan and Sampdoria. Although, recent reports suggest Juventus are now passing on the chance, choosing Golovin instead.

Given Wilshere’s young family, you’d think staying in England would be the most likely outcome. We’ll have to wait and see.
