The Summer 2018 transfer window is dominated by the arrival of new teams thanks to the FA’s latest twisted reform.

One position that will see a lot of activity is goalkeeper, with many teams on the look out for a number one, two or even three.

Here, we have a look at the FA WSL team-by-team overview and what they could be looking for:

Arsenal

They have a settled GK squad with Sari Van Veenendaal and Anna Moorhouse, who work well together.

No departure is expected unless a big offer comes in for Moorhouse as Van Veenendaal has just extended her contract.

Birmingham

Ann-Kathrin Berger, who has just won the joint FA WSL player’s player of the year, is Birmingham’s number one choice. Hannah Hampton was number two and Fran Stenson number three.

With Sophie Baggaley’s season loan at Bristol now finished, it will be interesting to see where she fits in Mark Skinner’s plans.

Brighton

Promoted from FA WSL 2, they are certainly looking for a number one.

According to their website, they had five goalkeepers on their books last year. Two young keepers, Chloe Samson and Nina Wilson, have already gone.

If you add Marie Hourihan, who was on loan and should be on her way back to Manchester, if she does not sign for a London club, Brighton will be surely looking to sign a first choice goalkeeper and have already made offers to FA WSL players.

Bristol

Number one choice, Sophie Baggaley, has returned to her parent club, Birmingham.

Estelle Randall was her understudy.

Bristol are likely to have a very busy transfer window with many ins and out. It will be interesting to see if they go for experience, another talented youngster or bring Baggaley back.

Chelsea

Hedvig Lindhal and Carly Telford are likely to stay. Rebecca Spencer and Fran Kitching have gone while Katie Startup has developed well at Charlton.

Chelsea have also bought the Everton keeper, Lizzie Durack, likely to be their number three initially before challenging the other two keepers at the club. Chelsea are ready in this department.

Everton

With Lizzie Durack sold to Chelsea, Kirsty Levell will be their first choice unless they add a new number one.

As the market is very open, they will have a lot of available options.

Liverpool

They currently have two young goalkeepers on the books in Emily Ramsey and Rebecca Flaherty. One of them might leave.

They should be on a look-out for a number one following Siobhan Chamberlain’s departure.

Manchester City

Karen Bardsley got her number one spot back towards the end of the season, wrestling the shirt back from England u20 goalie, Ellie Roebuck.

With Mary Hourihan back from her season loan at Brighton, City could be well set-up for the 2018/19 season.

The big question is if Roebuck and/or Hourihan will be happy to be Bardsley’s understudy or if they will engineer a move away from City.

Reading

With Mary Earps departing for Wolfsburg, Reading only have Grace Moloney on their books as a senior goalkeeper .

They will be looking to add another keeper before the season starts unless they promote a youth player.

West Ham

Promoted from the third tier the FA WPL, Matt Beard will be looking for two quality goalkeepers to compete for the number one spot.

Many names have been rumoured for the Hammers and there might be a surprise arrival.

Yeovil

Megan Walsh is likely to be in demand following her excellent season.

It will be interesting to see who could come in or if Yeovil continue to trust their youth team graduates.
