Arsenal defender Tafari Moore has signed for League One side Plymouth Argyle, leaving the Gunners on a free transfer.

Moore was on Arsenal’s list of players to be released by the club at the end of the month, as confirmed by the Premier League. As a result, he had the chance to sign for a new club for free, and decided on a move to Home Park.

The League One club made the move official on Twitter on Thursday morning, with a video of the former Gunner dancing on the pitch.

Moore first joined Arsenal all the way back in 2009, as a 12-year-old. He signed his first professional deal in July 2014, but never managed to get a competitive opportunity for the first-team.

Instead, he went on a couple of loans, first to FC Utrecht in 2016/17, then to Wycombe Wanderers in 2017/18. He helped Wycombe achieve promotion to League One, and as a result may end up facing up against them next season with his new club.

Moore played well in that loan spell, remaining in the Wycombe team almost every game until April, when he picked up a knock. He missed the final games of the season with injury.

Hopefully now he can get his senior career going properly. Good luck Tafari!
