Juventus have offered Jack Wilshere a four-year contract to leave Arsenal and join them in Serie A, according to reports in Italy.

TuttoMercatoWeb claim the Italian champions are in touch with the 26-year-old’s camp about a move. The outlet claims Juventus are willing to offer a four-year deal worth €4.5m per season.

That’s £3.95m-a-year, or just under £76,000-a-week, so it would represent a bit of a pay cut for the midfielder. However, perhaps he would consider the cut for the chance to move to a title-winning team playing in the Champions League, especially if they’re willing to offer him more game time than Unai Emery.

The Arsenal head coach was supposed to be holding talks with Wilshere this week, according to reports. So far we haven’t had any updates from the English media on the outcome of those talks though, if they even took place.

Wilshere’s contract comes to an end later this month. We know there’s already an Arsenal offer on the table, because he wasn’t listed as released with Per Mertesacker, Santi Cazorla and the rest this week. Clearly he’s waiting for something before he makes his final decision. We’ll just have to wait to find out what.
