Arsenal will apparently ‘rush’ Lucas Torreira’s medical through in Russia as they want to avoid his price rising with a good World Cup showing.
As reported by both the Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph in their Thursday editions, Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Sampdoria’s defensive midfielder with a £26m deal expected to be completed by the weekend.
According to SportItalia, via FootballItalia, the club will send their medical staff to Russia to complete the procedure and finalise the deal which has reportedly already been agreed.
The club are also continuing to talk with Bayer Leverkusen over a £20m deal for Bernd Leno.
Although his release clause expired at the end of May, the Bundesliga side are willing to let him leave this summer having already signed Lukas Hradecky from Eintracht Frankfurt.
David Ospina could be heading to Mexican side Tigres which would free up a spot in the side and add some much needed money to the Arsenal transfer kitty.
