Arsenal have reportedly made a ‘record offer’ for Yusuf Yazici according to a report from Turkey.

Sporx claim that Unai Emery is following on from where Arsene Wenger left off in trying to sign the 21-year-old from Trabzonspor.

Arsenal reportedly set aside at least €20m for the attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil once called ‘one of the greatest talents in football’.

The record transfer fee in the SuperLig is the £20.25m paid by Everton for Cenk Tosun and Arsenal might have to break this if they want to land Yazici, although the details of what, exactly, they are supposed to have offered have not yet been revealed.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Yazici for some time with the club apparently in talks about signing him back in January.

The media have linked Arsenal with a move for the Turkish playmaker ever since the summer.

There were even some reports of a £14.4m bid at the time, but Trabzonspor reportedly wanted closer to £17.5m for such a promising young player.

A central player, Yazici has a solid shot from range as well as a delightful final ball.

He is not the only attacking midfielder Arsenal are reportedly interested in. This week it was claimed that PSG’s 17-year-old midfielder, Yacine Adli, had agreed a three-year deal to join the club after he was promised more first team action than he would get in Paris.
