AS report that ‘in theory’ there are two clubs interested in signing the 28-year-old defender – Sevilla and Napoli – however earlier in the week, Dario Gol reported that Arsenal are close to signing the player.

Not only that, they claimed that that Philippe Coutinho and Lionel Messi, who has been ‘demanding the release of the Spaniard for months’ see the arrival of Unai Emery at Arsenal as ‘holy water’ for the Barca board.

Why?

Because, they claim, Arsenal are cash-rich and will be willing to spend a hefty sum on their un-wanted Spaniard.

Vidal, a right-footed defender who can also play right-wing, is under contract until 2020 and is valued at around £15m.

AS also claim that Andre Gomes has also cleared out his locker, as he is another player who ‘will not continue’ at the club.
