Diego Costa is back from injury and up to his usual tricks, as he looks to knock Arsenal out of the Europa League on Thursday night.

Over the weekend, Costa played his first minutes since suffering a hamstring injury earlier this month. It wasn’t long before he picked up a yellow card, for a fiesty confrontation with Ruben Sobrino.

In front of goal, he wasn’t quite so impressive. He only managed one shot, and couldn’t add to the one goal and one assist he has in the last two months with Atletico. If there’s one thing we know about strikers on a drought, it’s that they love to face Arsenal.

Spanish publication AS urge the striker to show ‘Killer Costa’ against the visitors on Thursday. He never has much trouble getting up for a game against Arsene Wenger’s side though.

Costa’s last match against Arsenal was in the FA Cup final last year, and although he was on the losing side, he still managed to score a goal for Chelsea’s 10 men. If he needed a reminder of his relationship with the Gunners’ supporters, he got it in the form of boos and chants from the Emirates crowd as he warmed up last week.

Let’s hope he doesn’t get the chance to rub those jeers back in our faces.
