Arsenal face Manchester United this weekend at Old Trafford, as Arsene Wenger makes his final trip to his old rivals as manager of his current club.

2Team news and predicted line-up

The big news is that Henrikh Mkhitaryan has a chance to face his former side after recovering from injury. The Armenian joined from Manchester United in January, and made a fantastic start with two goals and six assists. However, he spent the last few weeks on the sidelines with a knee injury.

If Mkhitaryan is fit enough, I’m sure he’ll start, to prepare him for Madrid.

My guess is that Alexandre Lacazette will be dropped to the bench. He’s been in fantastic form, but he’s still only recently back from an injury, and worked incredibly hard on Thursday.

There are unconfirmed rumours that Mesut Özil is out of the match. So most likely Danny Welbeck will start, alongside Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

In midfield, Mohamed Elneny is out, so there aren’t many options. I think Jack Wilshere and Aaron Ramsey will get rests after their recent injuries though.

I really can’t see Wenger throwing Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Joe Willock out there at the same time. That could kill their confidence if it went wrong. Therefore I think Maitland-Niles will be the only youngster to come in, alongside Alex Iwobi and Granit Xhaka.

In defence, Arsenal have a few more options. Hector Bellerin played well on Thursday, but he’s young enough to not need as many rests, so I think he’ll start. On the other side, I’d expect Sead Kolasinac to come in for Nacho Monreal.

I’m tempted to say Wenger will stick with Koscielny and Mustafi at centre-back, but given the French defender’s recurring injury struggles, Holding or Chambers are probably more likely to play.

Cech will play in goal, as usual in the league.
