Juventus will join Manchester United and Chelsea in trying to sign Aaron Ramsey from Arsenal this summer, as their pursuit of Emre Can continues to stall.

According to Italian outlet CalcioNews24, the Serie A league leaders aren’t just going to sit around and wait to see how Can responds to their offer. The German’s contract expires at the end of the season, but he hasn’t finalised a deal with anyone yet.

Instead, they’re moving onto Ramsey, and are planning a bid of almost £35m (€40m). They might even consider buying both midfielders if they get the chance.

Their report claims Chelsea and Manchester United are Juventus’ competition for the Welshman’s signature. They say the Premier League pair would likely make an even more tempting financial offer.

After another couple of goals last Thursday, Arsene Wenger confirmed that Arsenal are in talks with the 27-year-old over a new contract.

As it stands though, his deal expires in 2019. This is therefore the club’s last real chance to make any money from him if they can’t convince him to pen an extension.

Of course, we saw the same thing with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Özil last season. Arsenal resolved both situations pretty well in the end, bringing in Henrikh Mkhitaryan (already a two-time club Player of the Month winner) and extending the German’s contract.

However, they’ll definitely want to avoid the months of speculation before that resolution.

Ramsey has nine goals and 10 assists in 25 appearances this season, so hopefully he sticks around.

Whatever he decides though, the quicker the decision, the better.
