Arsenal are tracking 18-year-old Benfica attacking midfielder, Joao Felix, and the player is reportedly available for offers over €40m despite having a €60m release clause.

The youngster is the subject of admiring glances from a number of top clubs across Europe, including Manchester City, Manchester United, AC Milan, Monaco and PSG who have all scouted the player.

Benfica president, Luis Filipe Vieira, is said to be confident that the teenager will enjoy a very successful future and intends to keep hold of the player in the next window.

The player, however, who is currently represented by Soccer ProMaster could be about to enter a partnership with superagent, Jorge Mendes, which would no doubt mix things up a little.

Benfica expect Mendes’ involvement to ensure a far higher sale price for Felix, something they’ve experienced previously when working with this particular agent.

Felix currently plays for Benfica’s B team but should he remain at the cub next season, he will be called up to strengthen the first team.

He has five goals and five assists in 22 appearances this season.
