Arsenal had scouts watching Andrija Zivkovic once again while O Jogo claim the club were also keeping an eye on Ruben Dias as Benfica defeated Vitória de Guimarães 2-0 this weekend.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for Zivkovic since February 2017 when they had scouts at a Benfica game and it was reported they were watching the winger. Since then, there have been numerous reports of Arsenal watching the youngster.

The links with Dias are much newer, only appearing or the first time with any seriousness in the middle of last month.

Arsenal will have to pay more than €40m (£35m) if they want to sign Ruben Dias from Benfica this summer, according to reports in Portugal.

Portuguese outlet Record write that Benfica want at least €40m for the defender.

Apparently they are already looking for a replacement, such is their concern that a big club will come along to snap him up.

The Portuguese 20-year-old plays at centre-back. He started the season with the academy, but he’s now a regular in the senior team with 25 appearances despite being interrupted by an appendectomy.

Despite his age, Dias has 13 consecutive league appearances since the turn of the year. He has also scored three goals in that time (four for the season), and helped the team to clean sheets in his last four games.

The youngster also has some experience against English opposition.

He played in both of Benfica’s Champions League matches against Manchester United. His team conceded three goals in those two games. Without him in the other four group matches, they let in 11.
