One of the biggest problems, we are told, in Arsenal signing Thomas Tuchel is the relationship he has with Sven Mislintat (and the fact Arsene Wenger won’t leave, but that’s another issue).

According to Kicker, Mislintat would be willing to put the fact that the two men don’t like each other to the side in order to get on with things at the club.

But BvB expert, Brian Meyers, believes that Tuchel is petty enough to ask Arsenal to fire Mislintat as part of any agreement to join.

Meyers also explained that the problem seems to be purely personal – they just don’t like each other – and that’s a far harder issue to sort out than two men having tactical disagreements.

Anyone thinking that the passage of time would allow things to die down naturally between the pair is, sadly, set to be disappointed.

In December, Tuchel’s agent, Dr. Olaf Meinking, tweeted about both Mislintat and the Dortmund CEO, Hans-Joachim Watzke in a manner that can best be described as ‘Trumpish’.

All that was missing was a SAD! at the end of the tweet.

It says, “BVB veteran raves about the daily work with . So does not fit in the picture and attempt to draw of Thomas .”

It does not look like this is a matter ready to be put to bed just yet.

Dr. Olaf Meinking hasn’t tweeted since and has only sent 7 tweets in total since he joined the social network in 2012.
