talkSPORT have hinted that Hector Bellerin could need surgery for the injury that has ruled him out of Arsenal’s trip to Milan but they made one massive assumption.

The writer of the article (no name given) referenced the problem Hector Bellerin suffered last season, an ankle injury that was rumoured to require surgery. The injury that is keeping him out of the Europa League tie is said to be his knee.

The person who wrote the article on the talkSPORT website didn’t seem to know what injury Bellerin suffered from last season and, apparently, couldn’t even be bothered to Google it.

If they had, they would have been able to see that the two injuries are not the same and wouldn’t have written, “Rumours began to circulate towards the end of last season the Spain international could require surgery in the summer of 2017, but that never materialised.

“A recurrence of the injury will have left both the player and the club concerned, with further analysis required before deciding upon the best course of action.”

Then again, if they couldn’t write those lines, they would never have been able to use the headline “Hector Bellerin out of Europa League clash with AC Milan and could require surgery” and that would have resulted in a lot fewer clicks.

Best not Google for facts, eh?
