Raul Sanllehi hinted in an Arsenal Fans Forum meeting that the club could be set for further changes in the coming months, amid rumours about Arsene Wenger’s future.

Ivan Gazidis, Mark Gonnella and Sanllehi all spoke at the forum to a number of supporters’ group representatives.

The new head of football relations at the club suggested Gazidis’ vision for the future at Arsenal was part of what attracted him to join.

“When Ivan (Gazidis) explained the ideas he has got for the club and the people he wants to bring in, it was impossible to turn it down,” Sanllehi said.

“[I’m] extremely excited about this new project in my life. Very happy to be at one of the top clubs in Europe. A club that everyone looks at.

“It was a no-brainer to join and very thankful for the opportunity.”

The interesting thing here is that the former Barcelona man mentions the people Gazidis “wants to bring in”, rather than talking about the changes the club has already made.

Sven Mislintat, Huss Fahmy and Darren Burgess have joined Arsenal in key positions in the last year, but it seems like there might be more changes on the horizon.

Of course, the major position of interest is that of the manager.

Gazidis said it “wouldn’t be right” or “respectful” to talk about Wenger at the forum, with the season still ongoing. Therefore, we didn’t get any specific comments on that front, but it’s certainly possible they’re preparing for a change.

On the field, Arsenal have finally put together a couple of results in the last week. The season is still hanging by a thread though, with all their eggs in the Europa League basket.

Hopefully the team can continue to progress in the competition, starting with Milan on Thursday.

If they don’t, the decision to make a change at the top becomes even more simple.
