Aaron Ramsey is reportedly set to undergo a ‘small procedure’ to help an ongoing groin problem.

Arsene Wenger has always been cautious with Ramsey, given his proneness to injury, but recently the boss has been treating the 27-year-old with kid gloves.

The midfielder is still set to play against AC Milan on Thursday evening but he was rested against Watford and will also be rested against Stoke at the weekend.

According to Premier League injury expert Ben Dinnery, this is because Ramsey has been struggling with a groin problem.

The Wales international will actually miss the international break in a week’s time because he’s set to have a ‘small procedure’ to try and help fix the problem. Although what exactly this procedure entails remains to be seen.

It’s unclear how long Ramsey will be sidelined for after the procedure. The first Premier League clash after the international break, in which Wales play China in the semi-final of the China Cup, is against Southampton on 9 April.

Hopefully, whatever it is that Ramsey’s having done will help him in the long run, even if it means he’s out of action for a while.
