PSG are reportedly preparing to part with a number of players this summer after Marco Veratti decided to stay, and at least 3 of them have been heavily linked with Arsenal for some time.

Le Parisein claims that the Paris club will have to sell to fit within the remits of Financial Fairplay and that the first target of the purge will be “the motivations and moods of the substitutes this season. Many of them, recruited in recent years to take on the costume of the owner, have seen their stars fade over time.”

Goalkeeper, Kevin Trapp, is expected to leave, no longer happy with playing the role of number two while their number one, Alphonse Areola, is also believed to be an issue for the club because of his wages, with his future resting on the ‘balance sheet’.

Full-back Thomas Miller, the only defender not to get injured this season according to Le Parisien, is seeking assurances on his playing time.

But none of these players are ones who’ve been linked with Arsenal.

Adrien Rabiot, however, has been consistently for a number of years, and his future is as uncertain heading into this transfer window as it has been for a while.

He will enter the final year of his contract at the end of the season and is said to be dragging his feet on a new deal. PSG are keen to do everything they can to keep him, but will it be enough for the 22-year-old?

Julian Draxler is another oft linked with Arsenal who could be on the move. He, apparently, has ‘no intention of letting his career get bogged down’ due to Neymar’s arrival in France and he wants to know who will be manager of PSG next season before he commits any more of his future there.

Finally, Edinson Cavani, now 31, is still said to be unclear of his place in the Paris Project, happy with his salary but unsure about life in Neymar’s shadow.

It’s unlikely, however, if Cavani was to move that Arsenal would be interested again having just spent over £100m on two forwards in the last two windows.

The other two, however, I’m sure Arsenal would be very keen on again.
