Arsenal finally ended their losing streak with a top team performance away at the San Siro, beating Milan 2-0 on the night.

For the first time in a long time, it was more difficult to pick out the poor performers on Arsene Wenger’s side than the good, meaning anyone who took advantage of some great odds were well rewarded. It was just the response Arsenal needed in arguably their most important game of the season so far.

Although one match doesn’t wash away all the recent bad results, or the fact that all the other competitions are essentially over for Arsenal, it does give the team a great chance of qualifying for the quarter-finals though, and a reason for fans to be positive.

Aaron Ramsey 8.5

Ramsey was generally playing a much deeper role than usual, and helped shield the defence and build from the back very impressively.

Then, in trademark style, he picked the perfect moment to get forward and round the keeper calmly for Arsenal’s second.

He showed at both ends of the pitch just why the club are so desperate to keep him.

Granit Xhaka 8.5

Xhaka silenced a lot of his critics for the night, carrying a solid performance from the weekend into this match.

His passing was on point, and he contributed well defensively, winning headers and tracking back well.

It was like watching the midfielder of 2016/17 again.

Hopefully he can keep this good spell going.

Jack Wilshere 6.5

Wilshere was a rare player in the team who didn’t quite look his best on the night.

He didn’t let the side down by any means, but he was caught in possession significantly more than anybody else and couldn’t get his game going as well as he would’ve liked.

Still, he created a chance, won a few aerials and dribbles and did enough not to hinder everything good going on around him.
