Jack Wilshere is reportedly ready to leave Arsenal if they don’t meet his contract demands and the fans are quite happy to wave goodbye to the 26-year-old if this is the case.

According to an exclusive from the S*n, Jack is prepared to ‘quit’ Arsenal in the summer, which is when his contract runs out, if they don’t improve their current offer.

The club have allegedly proposed the 26-year-old take a 25% pay cut from his £120k-per-week but the deal is said to be highly incentivised.

After the midfielder’s previous injury woes, Arsenal are probably a bit nervous about paying Jack huge amounts unconditionally if he’s only going to be fit for a few months of the season.

The report claims that negotiations between Jack and Arsenal are ‘miles apart’ and it’s getting increasingly likely that the England international, whose been in north London since he was just nine, could leave at the end of the season.

Arsene Wenger hinted as much during his pre-Manchester City presser on Wednesday.

“It’s progressing but the decision belongs to him,” he said. “At the end of the day you have to respect the decision of the player. Our desire is clear, is expressed, is numbered and after that, the player has to find satisfaction as well.”

While Jack is a huge fan favourite, we’re no stranger to his injury problems and, while he’s fit at the moment, his form has dropped considerably in recent weeks. Therefore, if he has the cheek to hold the club to ransom, Gooners aren’t having any of it.

No player is bigger than the club, after all.
