AC Milan are reportedly keen on bringing Jack Wilshere to Serie A.

The Express have an ‘exclusive’ in which they claim that Milan are keen on Wilshere. Coincidentally, this ‘exclusive’ has popped up right in the middle of Arsenal and Milan’s two Europa League clashes.

While the Express isn’t usually an outlet I would trust, Wilshere’s out of contract at the end of the season and, with the 26-year-old somewhat bluntly revealing that him and the club are yet to make any ground on a new deal, links with other clubs are going to happen.

“Things have changed since then. We are no closer to sorting anything out,” Wilshere said after the 2-0 win at the San Siro last week.

The midfielder appears to have shrugged off his injury woes for a season and has been looking solid. However, Arsenal realise that paying a player to sit in the treatment room isn’t sustainable and, if they tie Wilshere down to a new deal, they can’t afford to pay him whatever he wants in the event that he gets injured again.

Therefore, it’s been suggested that the England international’s pay check will be stripped back to a £90k-per-week basic wage, which will have playing bonuses added on. In fact, if he remains fit and players every week, he could end up getting paid over £120k-per-week, which is what he gets now.

Wilshere allegedly doesn’t like this idea though, which is why he’s not signed on the dotted line and clubs like Milan, Juventus and Sampdoria are being linked.
