Lucas Perez hasn’t scored a goal since 19 November and the Spaniard, who’s currently on loan at his former club Deportivo, is getting frustrated.

Marca (via Sport Witness) have quoted Lucas as recently saying “What I feel most is frustration” when asked about his goal drought.

The 29-year-old hasn’t scored since November, despite a strong start to the season. The Spaniard netted five goals from September onward but it seems the forward’s hit a rough patch.

Lucas is currently on loan at his former club Deportivo, who aren’t doing that well themselves. The La Liga club are 19th and facing relegation.

The Spanish forward has had a tough couple of years.

First, he was sold to Arsenal for £17m in 2016 but the players in front of him, combined with his injury problems, kept him out of Arsene Wenger’s starting line-up.

Still, he didn’t do too badly. He scored seven goals and provided five assists in 21 appearances.

His lack of playing time annoyed him though, so he pushed for a return to Deportivo and Arsenal finally allowed him to go back on loan since the La Liga club weren’t willing to pay the amount Arsenal were demanding. You know, the same amount they paid for him just a year previously, which kind of made the whole transfer seem like a ploy for Deportivo to make some money off his fee.

Now, Lucas is struggling to even score.

Goodness knows where he’ll end up in the summer. His contract doesn’t run out until 2020.
