Arsenals fans are offering to drive Arsene Wenger to Merseyside themselves after the Daily Star reported that Everton want to bring him on board to replace Sam Allardyce.

Even though Big Sam signed an 18-month contract when he joined Everton at the end of 2017, the Toffees are still far from convincing and, as a result, they could sack him in the summer.

According to an EXCLUSIVE from the Daily Star, Everton are looking to bring Wenger on board as owner Farhad Moshiri is keen.

The Iranian billionaire had ties to Arsenal before he invested in the Toffees. He used to own 15% of the shares along with Alisher Usmanov.

Therefore, while the link between Wenger and Everton isn’t that much of a stretch, if a report comes from the Star, we all know we should take it with a pinch of salt.

This hasn’t stopped some Arsenal fans getting a tad excited over the rumour, since most want the 68-year-old to be sent packing sooner rather than later.

Some fans just feel sorry for Theo Walcott, who signed for Everton for £20m over the summer in search of more playing time. If Wenger becomes his coach again, the poor bloke might not get a look in.
