Everton are reportedly prepared to offer Jack Wilshere an £8m signing on fee.

Last week it was reported that Everton were keen to bring Wilshere to Merseyside and were willing to pay big money to do so. Not only are the Toffees allegedly offering to pay the wages the 26-year-old wants, but they’re also supposely able pay him a massive signing on fee as well.

Now the Times (£) are reporting that Everton will hand the midfielder £8m just to sign with them when his contract runs out in June.

Theo Walcott allegedly earns around £100k-per-week since his £20m move to Everton in January, so the club are obviously willing to pay decent wages as well.

Arsenal and Wilshere have been trying to thrash out a new deal since November 2017 but this obviously hasn’t gone to plan.

The England international has reportedly been offered a highly incentivised deal with playing bonuses but would have to have his basic wage reduced to £80-90kpw.

On the surface, that’s at least a £30kpw decrease but, if Wilshere stayed fit, it’s thought that he could earn the same amount as he earns now.

Arsenal are understandably just trying to protect themselves and Wilshere wants the best deal for himself – again understandable.

It remains to be seen whether this £8m signing on fee with tempt him to sign for Everton. It’s not exactly as much as Alexis Sanchez’s £20m signing on fee when he moved to Manchester United, but it’s not to be sniffed at.
